Dr. Xuan Guo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of North Texas, part of the College of Engineering. His research focuses on big data mining, high-performance computing, and their applications in biology, environment, and health. He leads the Biocomputing Research Group, developing bioinformatics tools for metaproteomics, genomics, and computational biology.
Research Interests: Dr. Guo’s work spans Scientific Computing (machine learning, data mining, computational biology), High-Performance Computing (cloud computing, big data analytics, distributed systems), and Genome-wide Association Studies. He actively seeks PhD students and undergraduate researchers in Computational Biology and Biocomputing.
