Xiuwen Zhou

Xiuwen Zhou is a Senior Lecturer in Physics and ARC DECRA Fellow at the School of Chemistry and Physics, Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Her interdisciplinary research bridges physics and chemistry through computational methods in quantum mechanics and machine learning.

• PhD in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, University of Geneva
• Expert in multi-scale modeling and electronic structure simulations

Her research focuses on materials science, particularly light-emitting materials and perovskite systems, with applications in optoelectronics and renewable energy. Recent publications emphasize iridium(III) phosphors, hyperphosphorescence, and mechanochemical processes in solids.
