Xinyu Yuan

Dr. Xinyu Yuan is a Senior Researcher and Head of the Research Group on Peacekeeping and Conflict Management through the United Nations at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF). She also holds affiliations with the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP) at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.

Her research focuses on peacekeeping/peacebuilding practices, global order transformation, non-Western power dynamics, and civil society roles in restrictive environments. She has contributed extensively to debates on China's peacebuilding approaches and norm contestation in international relations.

Recent publications analyze evolving peacebuilding norms, including studies on Timor-Leste and Sino-Russian interactions. She previously coordinated Geneva Policy Outlook and presented at OECD INCAF and Stockholm Forum events.
