Xinning Wang is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Case School of Engineering, Case Western Reserve University. He is also a member of the Cancer Imaging Program at the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. His research focuses on developing novel contrast agents for molecular imaging of cancer, particularly targeting prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) for prostate cancer diagnosis and therapy. He has pioneered PSMA-targeted NIR contrast agents and theranostic nanoparticles, with over 14 years of expertise in this field. Wang holds patents related to platinum complexes, PSMA-targeted imaging agents, and demethylcantharidin-based anticancer agents.
Professional memberships include the World Molecular Imaging Society (since 2015) and the American Association for Cancer Research (since 2003). He has received the First Place Poster Award at the 2014 World Molecular Imaging Conference. His work integrates nanotechnology, molecular imaging, and drug delivery to address unmet clinical needs in oncology.
Key research trends in his articles include PSMA-targeted theranostics, gold nanoparticle applications, and ultrasound molecular imaging. Collaborations span disciplines such as neurosurgery, oncology, and materials science. His lab actively pursues translational research to bridge preclinical advancements with clinical applications.
