Xingchen Ye is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University Bloomington. He joined the faculty in January 2017 after completing postdoctoral work at UC Berkeley and a PhD at the University of Pennsylvania.
- B.S. in Chemistry from University of Science and Technology of China (2006)
- Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Pennsylvania (2012)
- Postdoctoral work with Paul Alivisatos at UC Berkeley (2013-2016)
The Ye Group focuses on precision synthesis of colloidal nanocrystals and their integration into mesoscale assemblies for energy conversion applications. Their research also extends to in-situ multimodal imaging of nanoscale dynamics and materials transformation.
Scientific Awards:
- John G. Miller Award (for PhD thesis on optical metamaterials)
