Xin Sui is an Assistant Professor at Aalborg University's Department of Power Electronics System Integration and Materials, within the Faculty of Engineering and Science. His research focuses on lithium-ion battery systems, with particular emphasis on state of health estimation, thermal modeling, and the integration of artificial intelligence into battery management. He collaborates on projects like CROSBAT (SMART BATTERY) and leads PhD supervision in areas such as digital twin development and battery aging prediction.
Research interests include battery thermal management, machine learning applications for state estimation, and smart battery design. His work bridges physics-based models with data-driven approaches to enhance battery performance and longevity. Recent publications highlight advancements in sensorless temperature estimation, multi-level battery simulation frameworks, and digital twin technologies for energy systems.
Xin Sui is a finalist in the 2025 Nordic Energy Challenge for the SynDiv initiative, exploring gender-balanced teams' impact on energy transition strategies. He actively participates in interdisciplinary projects, advising PhD candidates on topics ranging from battery aging to AI-driven monitoring systems.
