معرفی
Xiaolong Liu is an Academy Research Fellow at Aalto University's Department of Electronics and Nanoengineering, School of Electrical Engineering. He holds dual roles as an Academy Research Fellow in the Electron Physics Group (EPG) and serves as a Data Agent for the School of Electrical Engineering. His doctoral degree in Natural Sciences from Fudan University (2020) laid the foundation for his current research.
Research focuses on femtosecond laser processing of semiconductor materials, hyperdoping techniques for optoelectronic applications, and nanostructured surfaces for photovoltaics. Key interests include gas sensing technologies using hyperdoped silicon, infrared photonics in germanium, and surface passivation optimization in solar cells. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to affordable and clean energy (SDG7).
Major achievements include the 2023 Academy Research Fellowship and Optica reviewer certifications (2023-2024). He leads the HyperGER project (2023-2027), exploring femtosecond-laser hyperdoped germanium for broadband infrared applications. Liu has authored 58 research outputs since 2017, with notable contributions in Nano Energy, Sensors and Actuators B, and Applied Surface Science. His research data is openly shared via Zenodo repositories.
