Xiao-Bing Gao is a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Comparative Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on understanding how neural circuits in the lateral hypothalamus regulate energy balance, sleep/wake cycles, addiction, and obesity. He holds appointments in the Yale Center for Molecular and Systems Metabolism and collaborates with prominent researchers like Tamas Horvath and Hugh Taylor.
