Xi Chen is an Associate Professor of Public Health (Health Policy) and affiliated faculty in multiple departments at Yale University. He holds positions at the Institution for Social and Policy Studies, Department of Economics, Yale Institute for Global Health, and Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC). His research focuses on aging, dementia economics, climate change impacts, and health equity. He has authored over 140 peer-reviewed publications, including studies in PNAS, Nature Aging, and LANCET, with media coverage in NYT, WSJ, and Science Magazine.

Research Interests:
Chen's work bridges economics and public health, addressing aging-related policies, dementia care equity, environmental health, and global health systems. Recipient of the Kuznets Prize (2021), Butler-Williams Scholar (2019), and multiple NIH and NSF grants. Editor of Journal of Population Economics and President of China Health Policy and Management Society (2018–2020).
