Xenia-Lea Weber is a Researcher at the Chair of Teaching and Learning Research and the Research Group on Learning and Instruction at Ruhr University Bochum. She holds a B.Sc. in Biology (2014), B.A. in Biology and Educational Science (2015), M.Ed. in Biology and Educational Science (2018), and completed her Second State Examination for teaching at grammar and comprehensive schools in 2019. Her research focuses on self-regulated learning, metacognition, and diagnostics/promotion of learning strategies. She is actively involved in the DigiSchuKuMPK project exploring digitalization in all-day primary schools. Key contributions include studies on metacognitive regulation transfer, teacher diagnostic competence, and learning strategy assessments. She has presented at major conferences like the Society for Empirical Educational Research (GEBF) and the German Psychological Society (DGPs).
Her academic career includes roles as a research assistant since 2014, including work on the 'Ganz In' all-day school project. She balances research with practical initiatives like planning biology seminars for students.
