Dr. Xavier Symons is a prominent bioethicist serving as Director of the Plunkett Centre for Ethics at Australian Catholic University (ACU) and Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA). He holds a PhD in Philosophy from ACU, complemented by a BA Advanced Hons and MA (Research) in Philosophy from the University of Sydney. His prior appointments include Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard University's Human Flourishing Program and residency at Georgetown University's Kennedy Institute of Ethics.
Symons' research spans foundational and applied bioethics, with emphasis on:
