Xavier Groussot is a Professor of EU Law at Lund University’s Faculty of Law, serving as Pro Dean and Director of the Master’s Programme in European Business Law. He holds guest professorships at Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) and the University of Reykjavik, and leads the faculty’s MOOC on European Business Law. His research focuses on constitutional law, economic law, procedural law, federalism, and legal theory, with a particular emphasis on the rule of law in the EU and digitalization challenges. He coordinates the Lund Human Rights Research Hub and engages in projects addressing judicial independence and procedural federalism. Active in teaching, he supervises nine PhD students and coaches moot court teams. His outreach includes roles at the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies (SIEPS) and contributions to EU agencies and courts. Awarded the 2010 Faculty Medal and the 2006 Oscar II Prize for best PhD in Law, his work spans over 120 publications, including books, journal articles, and policy analyses. Key areas of recent focus include EU digital policies, fundamental rights in crises, and the integration of legal frameworks in evolving technological landscapes.
