Xabier Aierdi

Xabier Aierdi Urraza is a Professor at the University of the Basque Country specializing in migration, social services, and diversity policies. He founded the Ikuspegi Basque Immigration Observatory and currently serves as President of the Begirune Foundation.

His research examines immigration patterns, social integration mechanisms, and policy frameworks for intercultural coexistence. Aierdi has advised governmental bodies on migration policies and contributed to the 5th Action Plan on Citizenship, Interculturality and Immigration.
