Wudneh Admassu is Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Idaho's College of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Idaho and teaches core courses including Transport Phenomena, Thermodynamics, and Environmental Process Design. His research specializes in bioremediation, membrane separation technologies, electrodialysis, and environmental modeling.
Professor Admassu's work focuses on developing sustainable solutions for wastewater treatment, heavy metal removal, and bioenergy production. He has received numerous honors including multiple Alumni Awards for Faculty Excellence, College of Engineering Outstanding Faculty awards, and the Navy's Excellence in Teaching Award. His extensive publication record demonstrates consistent innovation in environmental process engineering over four decades.
His patent portfolio includes novel gas separation membranes and fermentation processes. Recent research explores algae-based wastewater remediation and advanced membrane technologies for industrial applications.
