Dr. Wouter Peeters is an Associate Professor in Global Ethics at the Department of Philosophy, University of Birmingham. His research spans climate change, environmental sustainability, social justice, bioethics, and moral theory, with a focus on reconciling individual duties and institutional responsibilities in global justice.
- PhD in Philosophy and Moral Sciences (Brussels, 2014)
- MA and BA from Vrije Universiteit Brussels and Ghent University
His work examines how individual agents can address global challenges like climate change and poverty while balancing personal and collective ethical obligations. Recent research explores the moral legitimacy of diversity and inclusion policies through a Leverhulme Fellowship.
