Prof. Wouter Maes is a Full Professor at Hasselt University, leading the DSOS research group focusing on organic semiconductor materials for electronics and healthcare. He holds a PhD in organic chemistry from KU Leuven (2005) and has held academic roles from Assistant (2009) to Full Professor (2021). His research emphasizes conjugated polymers for photovoltaics, sensors, and biomedical applications. He has authored over 200 articles (h-index 45, 6600+ citations) and serves as President of the Chemistry Department.
