Woojin M. Han

Woojin M. Han, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. His research focuses on cell-instructive biomaterials and regenerative engineering, particularly targeting skeletal muscle trauma and diseases.

The Han Laboratory employs interdisciplinary approaches combining bioengineering, biology, and clinical expertise to study skeletal muscle-resident stem/progenitor cells, mechanobiology, and cell-matrix interactions. Their work aims to develop innovative therapies for musculoskeletal disorders through advanced biomaterials design and disease modeling.
