Wolfgang Nejdl is a full Professor of Computer Science at Leibniz University Hannover since 1995, leading the L3S Research Center (www.L3S.de) and the Distributed Systems Institute / Knowledge Based Systems.
He received his M.Sc. (1984) and Ph.D. (1988) from the Technical University of Vienna, served as assistant professor in Vienna (1988-1992), and associate professor at RWTH Aachen (1992-1995), with visiting positions at Xerox PARC, Stanford University, UIUC, EPFL Lausanne, PUC Rio, Trento, and Politecnico di Milano.
His research spans:

He directs the L3S Research Center and Distributed Systems Institute, leading interdisciplinary teams in web science, AI, and digital infrastructure development.
