Prof. Wojciech Sadowski serves as a Professor at the Department of Nanotechnology and Materials Engineering within the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics at Gdańsk University of Technology. His institutional base includes the Nanotechnology Center A, with direct contact via wsadowski@pg.edu.pl and phone 583486601.
His research spans:
- Materials Science (primary focus)
- Glass Science (phosphate/borate systems)
- Luminescence spectroscopy of rare-earth-doped materials
- Nanotechnology (thin-film applications)
- Solid-state physics of glass-ceramics
- Thermal properties of metallic nanostructures
Recent work (2023-2025) centers on structural-optical relationships in doped glasses, examining fluoride additives' impact, energy transfer mechanisms in multi-ion systems, and crystallization control. His thin-film research investigates thermal disintegration pathways for plasmonic nanostructure fabrication.
Scientific Awards: None documented in source materials.
Research Projects:
- Hewelianum Project: Served as Principal Investigator under the Regional Operational Program for Pomeranian Voivodeship (2007-2013), executed within the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics starting July 22, 2009.
Laboratory Affiliations:
- Institute of Nanotechnology and Materials Engineering
- Nanotechnology Center A
