Dr. inż. Piotr Okoczuk is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Nanotechnology and Materials Engineering, Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics, Gdańsk University of Technology. His research focuses on dc conductivity, thin layers, glass, glass-ceramics, and charge transfer mechanisms, utilizing advanced techniques such as Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), FTIR spectroscopy, and Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM).
His work explores conductive glass optimization through heat treatment, nanocrystallization in V2O5–TeO2 systems, and structural-electrical property correlations in sodium-doped borophosphosilicate glasses. Recent studies highlight orders-of-magnitude conductivity increases in crystallized vanadium-tellurite glasses and plasmonic nanostructure fabrication via gold thin film disintegration. This aligns with applications in energy materials and nanoscale devices.
