Wojciech Bąkowski

Dr. Wojciech Bąkowski (born 1979) is a visual artist, musician, and poet affiliated with the Faculty of Media Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He leads the music groups KOT and NIWEA, and co-founded the artistic collective PENERSTWO. His work spans interdisciplinary practice, blending visual art with musical and poetic elements.

Collaborations include partnerships with Galeria Stereo in Warsaw and Bureau in New York. Notable recognitions include the 2009 Deutsche Bank and Zachęta 'Spojrzenia' Award, the 2010 'Paszport Polityki' Award, and multiple international film festival accolades.
