Witold Wołowski

Dr. hab. Witold Wołowski is a Professor at the Catholic University of Lublin, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and the Department of Romance Cultures and Literatures. His career spans over three decades, focusing on theatrical semiotics, French drama, and intermediality.

Research Interests:

• Central to his work is the analysis of didascalia (stage directions) and their evolution in 20th-century European theater.
• He explores intercultural and interdisciplinary intersections, particularly between theater, music, and visual arts.
• His studies include adialogism (non-dialogic textualization) in plays by François Billetdoux and comparative analyses of family dynamics in Maeterlinck and Billetdoux.
