Prof. Wim Timens is a Professor of Pathology at the Department of Pathology and Medical Biology, University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), Netherlands. He specializes in pulmonary pathology, with a focus on COPD, asthma, and lung cancer. His research integrates clinical, molecular, and translational approaches to understand respiratory diseases. He has held leadership roles, including Chair of the Department of Pathology and Medical Biology (2010-2020).
