Wilson Wei is a Researcher at the Department of Applied Physics and Science Education, Eindhoven University of Technology. His research focuses on surface science, metasurface physics, chemistry, and quantum electrodynamics. He is a key member of the SCOLED project (2023–2026), exploring nanoparticle array organic light-emitting diodes through strong coupling effects.
His research interests include manipulating light-matter interactions via metasurfaces, studying molecular dynamics in confined environments, and controlling quantum phenomena in weak coupling regimes. Recent work highlights the application of non-local metasurfaces in chemical reactions and ultrastrong coupling of molecular vibrations.
Wei has contributed to high-impact journals such as Angewandte Chemie and Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, with notable publications on polaritonic chemistry and quantum-electrodynamic electron transfer. His work bridges nanophotonics, materials science, and chemistry, addressing challenges in energy transfer and reaction dynamics.
He collaborates with institutions globally, focusing on interdisciplinary projects at the interface of physics, chemistry, and nanotechnology. His current and future work aims to advance applications in quantum technologies and sustainable materials through surface engineering.
