Wilson Picado-Umaña

Wilson Picado-Umaña is a Professor at the School of History and the Regional Master's Programme in Rural Development at the Universidad Nacional, Costa Rica. He holds a PhD in History from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and a Master's in Agrarian History from Universidad Nacional, Costa Rica. His research focuses on the long-term study of the Green Revolution in Latin America, environmental history of peasant communities, and the history of fire. He actively engages in applied historical research through interdisciplinary and community-based projects.
