Araceli Freire Cedeira

Araceli Freire Cedeira is a Researcher at the Department of Contemporary and American History, University of Santiago de Compostela. She holds a PhD in History (2008) and a Master’s in Contemporary History (2009), supported by a University Teacher Training Programme (FPU) grant. Her research focuses on agrarian history, forest history, and the social dynamics under Francoist Spain.

Key projects include the 'Red de Agroecología e Historia' network and the 'Historia agraria e política do mundo rural' group. Her work examines rural conflict, property disputes, and gender roles in Galician communities during Franco’s dictatorship.
