Wilson Merchán-Merchán is a Professor in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at The University of Oklahoma. His research focuses on flame synthesis of nanostructures for energy and medical applications, combustion emissions analysis, and plasma processes. He holds a Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Mechanical and Materials Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Teaching & Advising:
He teaches courses in thermodynamics, heat transfer, combustion processes, and capstone design. His advising spans undergraduate research projects and graduate studies in thermal-fluid systems and nanotechnology.

- Member of The Combustion Institute, American Chemical Society, and American Nano Society
- Reviewer for Carbon, Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, and other leading journals
