Dr. William Wantland is a Professor of History at Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU), serving since 2002 after previously holding roles at Northwest Nazarene University (1991-2000). He specializes in U.S. History, with a focus on the Civil War era, early American republic, and historical pedagogy. Wantland has authored and edited major educational resources including The Norton Mix series and contributed to legal historical documentation.
