Dr. William Feis is a Professor of History specializing in military history, particularly the American Civil War and U.S. military strategy. He has authored major works including Grant’s Secret Service (2002), For the Common Defense (2012), and Essentially American (2017). His research focuses on military intelligence, historical documentation, and the intersection of warfare and society.
