William Villalongo

William Villalongo is an Associate Professor at The Cooper Union School of Art, creating figurative works exploring Black subjectivity through mythological frameworks. His practice spans painting, sculpture, and curatorial projects addressing race, history, and representation.

Research examines African diasporic identity through classical mythologies and contemporary narratives. Curatorial projects like 'American Beauty' and 'Black Pulp!' investigate intersections of politics and visual culture.
