William P. Barnett is the Thomas M. Siebel Professor of Business Leadership, Strategy, and Organizations at Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) and a Professor at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. He holds academic appointments in Strategic Management and Organizational Behavior, with tenure since 1996. His research focuses on environmental sustainability, organizational adaptation, and competitive dynamics, particularly in climate tech startups, environmental justice, and climate migration. Barnett directs the Stanford Initiative on Business and Environmental Sustainability (SIBES) and the Stanford Executive Program.
