William Ma

William Ma is an Assistant Professor and Graduate Coordinator at Louisiana State University's College of Art & Design, Department of Art History. He holds dual BA degrees in Integrative Biology and History of Art (2006) and a PhD in History of Art (2016), both from University of California at Berkeley. His research focuses on Chinese art history, emphasizing transnational artistic exchanges, material culture analysis, and collaborations with international scholars. Current projects involve the Nguyen dynasty's material/spatial culture in Hue, Vietnam, supported by the Getty Foundation's Connecting Art Histories initiative.
