William M. Maidhof, PharmD, is an Associate Professor in the Clinical Health Professions Department at St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He supervises the on-campus Rite Aid Pharmacy Laboratory and teaches physical assessment, prescription/nonprescription medicine topics, and pharmacy law. His research focuses on innovative technology in pharmacy education, including portable tablet technology, human patient simulation, and automated dispensing systems.
- Education: BS in Pharmacy (1999), Doctor of Pharmacy (2003) from St. John’s University
Research Interests: Dr. Maidhof explores how technology enhances pharmacy education, particularly through tablet-based patient counseling, simulation-based training, and interprofessional teaching methods. His work also emphasizes self-care therapeutics and state/national pharmacy law compliance.
Publications: His recent articles (2010–2014) address simulation training, hyperhidrosis management, and tablet technology in pharmacy practice.

Service & Collaborations: Dr. Maidhof mentors Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) students and PGY-1 residents, coordinates the New York State Part III Licensing Examination, and collaborates with the Physician Assistant program. He actively participates in the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), serving on multiple committees.
