William Hawks, Ed.D. is Assistant Professor of Management at the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business & Entrepreneurship, Nova Southeastern University, where he leverages 20-plus years of cross-sector leadership experience to advance scholarship and practice in human resource management, employee relations, and organizational performance.

Research & Scholarly Focus: Dr. Hawks investigates how positive employee relations, servant leadership, and process innovation unleash organizational performance. His funded portfolio—over $1 million in grants—addresses foster-care placement disruption, minimum-wage policy effects, health-equity case studies, and workforce diversity strategies. He is lead or co-investigator on multiple interdisciplinary projects spanning healthcare, public policy, and business strategy.
Publications & Thought Leadership: His research appears in Economic Affairs, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and the SAGE Business Cases Originals series.
