William Fong is a Visiting Professor of Piano and holds a Professorship at the Royal Academy of Music, while serving as Head of Keyboard at the Purcell School for Young Musicians, a leading specialist institution for gifted young musicians in Europe. He has performed globally, including in New York, Moscow, and London’s major venues, and collaborates with renowned ensembles like the Brodsky Quartet and artists such as Steve Davislim and James Rutherford. His work spans recitals, chamber music recordings, and broadcasts on BBC Radio 3 and television.
His teaching career includes master classes and adjudication across the UK, China, Australia, and New Zealand. Notable engagements include a keynote role at the Institute of Registered Music Teachers of New Zealand and Arts Council England-supported initiatives in Shanghai. He is actively involved with international piano summer schools and has shaped pedagogical approaches through his roles at both the Royal Academy of Music and Purcell School.
