William Alexander Morel is a Professor in the Department of Art & Design at St. John's University, part of the St. John's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He holds an M.F.A. from Rutgers University (2001) and a B.F.A. from St. John’s University (1997), complemented by studies at the International Center of Photography (ICP). His work spans editorial and documentary photography for organizations like the Pan American Health Organization and Accion International. His artistic practice explores themes of family, urban environments, and socio-cultural dynamics through projects like Relaciones & Relatos and works in Haiti, Turkey, and Brazil.
- Teaching Roles: Full-time faculty since 2007, teaching photography history, documentary practices, and digital/analogue techniques.
