Dr. Will Phillips is an Interim Division Chair of Languages & Literature and Professor of English at Maryville College. He joined the faculty in 2001 and holds a B.A. from the University of the South, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research focuses on literary modernism, 19th-century literature, fantasy/science fiction, and the interplay between language, narrative, and cultural change. His notable work includes Nightmares of Anarchy (2003), analyzing anarchist narratives in late 19th-century culture.
