Will Arnold is a Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge's Department of Architecture within the Faculty of Architecture and History of Art. He serves as Head of Climate Action at The Institution of Structural Engineers, driving industry-wide sustainability initiatives including the development of embodied carbon regulation standards (Part Z) and the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard. His work focuses on integrating climate action into structural engineering practices and leading the Built Environment Carbon Database project.

He received the IStructE President’s Award and Memcom Outstanding Achievement Award for his contributions to structural sustainability. Prior to his current roles, he practiced as a structural engineer at Arup for over a decade.
