Wiktor Piech is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physical Geography, Faculty of Geographical Sciences, University of Lodz. He specializes in physical geography, with expertise in Earth surface processes, geomorphology, sedimentology, geoarchaeology, and geochemistry.

- Environmental reconstruction during the Little Ice Age
- Human impact on natural environments
He has participated in 8 research projects, completed internships at the Thermoluminescence Dating and Spectrometry Laboratory (University of Lodz) and the Sedimentological Laboratory (Pedagogical University of Krakow), and presented at over a dozen international conferences.
