Wijnand IJsselsteijn is a full professor at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), specializing in Cognition and Affect in Human-Technology Interaction. He serves as Principal Investigator for the Ethics of Socially Disruptive Technologies (ESDT) Research Programme. A leader in interdisciplinary research, he directs the TU/e Center for Humans and Technology and co-directs the 4TU.Center for Humans and Technology, uniting four Dutch technical universities.
- Initiated the first Psychology & Technology major in the Netherlands (now ~120 students)
- Founded the PERSUASIVE Technology conference series
- Coordinated major EU and NOW projects, including the EU FET Proactive call on Presence Research
