Matthew Dennis is an Assistant Professor and ESDT Research Fellow in the Philosophy & Ethics group at Eindhoven University of Technology. He specializes in the ethics of emerging technologies, particularly focusing on digital well-being. Previously, he held prestigious fellowships, including the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Research Fellowship at TU Delft (2019–21) and the Early-Career Innovation Fellowship at the Institute of Advanced Studies (2018–19).
His research explores the ethical implications of living well with AI, social robots, virtual assistants, and self-care apps, emphasizing how gender, education, and intercultural factors shape these interactions. Matthew actively engages in knowledge exchange with industry, policymakers, and civil society organizations, contributing to debates on ethics in a data-driven world.
