Whitney A Smith

Dr. Whitney A Smith is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at the Medical University of South Carolina's College of Nursing. She holds certifications as an Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP-BC) and currently serves as Secretary for the Low Country Advanced Practice Association.

Dr. Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of South Florida, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice, all from MUSC. Her professional experience includes roles in geriatric medicine, primary care, and telehealth, alongside contributions to grants focused on underserved populations in South Carolina.

Her research interests emphasize chronic illness management, aging-related health challenges, and wellness promotion. She has actively participated in initiatives addressing healthcare access through free clinics and innovative care models.
