Wesley Dose

Dr. Wesley Dose is a researcher in energy storage materials, with a focus on advanced battery chemistries including lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and "beyond lithium-ion" systems. He earned his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Newcastle (Australia) in 2014, studying manganese-based materials for lithium batteries. After postdoctoral positions at Argonne National Laboratory (2016) and the University of Cambridge (2018), he joined the University of Leicester as faculty in 2021, followed by a DECRA Fellowship at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 2022, and a move to the University of Sydney in 2024.

His research investigates structure-property-function relationships in battery materials, emphasizing synthesis, electrochemical characterization, and interfacial chemistry at electrode-electrolyte interfaces. Techniques employed include X-ray/neutron diffraction, electron microscopies, and NMR.
