Wenxia Ge is a Full Professor at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, holding a Ph.D. from McGill University and a Master's in Accounting from Xiamen University. She previously served as an Associate Professor at the University of Manitoba and worked at China Construction Bank in accounting and auditing roles. Professor Ge is an Associate Editor for the Asia-Pacific Journal of Accounting & Economics and sits on editorial boards for Advances in Accounting, Asian Review of Accounting, and Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation.
Her research examines audit quality, climate risk disclosures, debt financing, corporate governance, and financial reporting. Recent work analyzes how environmental factors and regulatory frameworks influence financial markets and corporate behavior. Her publications demonstrate a strong focus on empirical methods including quasi-natural experiments and international datasets.
