Wenting Sun is an Associate Professor at the Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology. His research focuses on combustion under extreme conditions, including combustion kinetics, plasma/ozone-assisted combustion, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation for future power generation and propulsion systems.

- M.E. and B.E. in Engineering Physics, Tsinghua University (2007, 2005)
Sun’s work involves developing advanced facilities like high-pressure shock tubes and predictive kinetic models to accelerate CFD simulations. He investigates multiple explosion mechanisms to prevent catastrophic failures in energy systems.
