Wenti DU

Wenti DU is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of International Liberal Arts, Global Business Program, Akita International University. Her research focuses on Applied Macroeconomics and International Monetary Economics, with significant contributions to understanding financial contagion, carbon policy impacts, and market efficiency.

• Education: Ph.D. in Economics from Claremont Graduate University (2016).

Her research explores economic policy, financial markets, and monetary dynamics. Recent work analyzes financial contagion mechanisms in European economies, carbon policy uncertainty in China, and Eurozone crisis risks. Earlier studies examine news impact on exchange rates and market efficiency in Japan.

She has secured competitive Japanese research grants, including a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C) (2025-2028) and two Young Scientists (B) grants.
