Wenjia Wang is Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of East Anglia's School of Computing Sciences, where he leads an AI research laboratory and serves as Director of MSc Computer Science since 2003. He also holds positions as Deputy Director of Postgraduate Research and Admissions Officer for Overseas Applications.

His work develops hybrid approaches for classification, clustering, and feature selection ensembles, applied across healthcare, finance, security, and computational biology domains using multimodal data analysis.
