Wenhui Chen is a Senior Lecturer in Chinese Language at Washington University's Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures. She serves as the Chinese Language Coordinator and Study Abroad Advisor, teaching courses in modern Chinese and heritage speaker instruction.

Her research focuses on pedagogical grammar sequencing, reading/writing instruction, teaching techniques, cultural integration in language education, and proficiency testing. Her publications reflect expertise in grammar pedagogy, curriculum design, and digital learning tools.
She has contributed to standardized assessments (AP Reader, TOCFL grader) and textbook development. Additional roles include Fulbright Committee membership (2021-2022) and international teacher training.
