Wenfeng Zhao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Binghamton University. He holds a PhD from the National University of Singapore (2014) and BS/MS degrees from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (2007-2009). Prior to this role, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Minnesota's Biomedical Engineering Department.
His research focuses on neural engineering, compressed sensing, ultra-low-power VLSI systems, and in-memory computing. Key areas include hardware security, biomedical signal processing, and energy-efficient computing architectures. His work spans applications in neural interfaces, cryptographic hardware, and IoT edge devices.
