معرفی
Dr. Wenfeng Deng is an Honorary Associate Professor in the School of the Environment at the University of Queensland. His research focuses on applying geochemical theories and methods, particularly elemental and isotopic analyses, to study past climate and environmental changes. He has developed high-precision carbonate clumped isotope (Δ47) analysis methods and reconstructed Holocene climate records in the South China Sea and western Pacific.
Education:
- Bachelor of Mineral Resources, China University of Geosciences
- Doctor of Philosophy of Geochemistry, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences
Research Interests:
- Advanced clumped isotope approaches for climate evolution
- Holocene climate reconstruction in marine environments
- Coral biomineralization and climate adaptation
His work clarifies biological effects on isotopic signatures in marine carbonates and explores coral resilience under environmental changes. Key contributions include refining clumped isotope applications and linking climate variability to anthropogenic influences.
